Freedom Flex 17x Dining Reports: Check Your Paze Offer First
Renewed Dunkin discussion highlights a conditional Q4 points stack, with separate quarterly and monthly caps and an account-specific Paze requirement.
TL;DR
Freedom Flex dining can reach the reported 17x only when the purchase qualifies for the activated Q4 category, the regular dining bonus and an eligible additional 10x Paze offer. Chase publicly confirms the dining component; check your own Paze offer before relying on the full stack.
- Chase confirms 7% on eligible Freedom Flex dining during the activated Q4 category period; the base reward is counted once.
- The reported additional 10x Paze offer has separate eligibility and a monthly cap. Wallet access alone does not establish offer eligibility.
- This is renewed attention to an existing opportunity, not a newly announced card-wide benefit.
What surfaced
An October 17 Reddit post about earning 17x at Dunkin has renewed interest in combining Freedom Flex dining rewards with Paze checkout. The useful question is whether the same purchase meets every offer condition on your card.
Chase confirms that activated Q4 dining runs from 2026-10-01 through 2026-12-31, with activation due by 2026-12-14. Its September announcement explicitly explains the dining stack. The extra Paze component comes from offer terms reproduced by Doctor of Credit; we did not inspect a current issuer-account offer or independently verify the reported transaction.
How the reported stack works
| Category | Reward layer | Condition or limit |
|---|---|---|
| 1x | Base reward | Counted once on an eligible purchase. |
| 2x | Additional Freedom Flex dining reward | Purchase must qualify as dining under Chase rules. |
| 4x | Additional activated Q4 category reward | Up to $1,500 combined across quarterly bonus categories; other category spending uses the same allowance. |
| 10x | Additional Paze offer, as reproduced by Doctor of Credit | Reported limit: $1,500 combined purchases each month through 2026-12-31; restricted to recipients of offer marketing. Confirm your own terms. |
The reported calculation is 1x + 2x + 4x + 10x = 17x. The regular and quarterly dining rewards share one base point, so adding their headline rates would count it twice.
Who should care
This is relevant if you already hold Freedom Flex and buy eligible restaurant meals through participating Paze checkouts. It is not a promise for every Freedom card, restaurant or transaction. Chase excludes gift-card merchants from dining; a merchant accepting Paze does not establish its reward category.
Keep this separate from the older spend-$10/get-$10 Paze statement-credit campaign, which ended on 2026-09-10. A gift-card cashout report does not mean that credit is available again.
What to do before paying
- Activate Q4 categories and check the remaining quarterly allowance.
- Find the Paze bonus in your own Chase benefits or offer communications. Save the eligible-card, merchant, cap and deadline terms; do not infer eligibility from the wallet button.
- Choose Freedom Flex at a participating online Paze checkout and verify the purchase qualifies as dining. Chase currently excludes business and authorized-user cards from Paze.
- Track the quarterly category allowance separately from the reported monthly Paze allowance. Doctor of Credit reproduces a posting window of up to eight weeks for bonus points; compare actual points with your offer terms.
Sources and evidence
Chase supplies the official Q4 calculation and wallet eligibility; Paze documents the expired statement-credit campaign. Doctor of Credit supplies the reproduced extra-points terms, while Reddit is a transaction report and discovery signal. Those sources do not establish universal current offer eligibility.

Before you act
- Use the offer terms attached to your own card. Community reports do not guarantee eligibility or rewards.
