- A transfer ratio defines how many partner points you receive for each issuer point you transfer. Most programs transfer at 1:1, meaning 1,000 Amex Membership Rewards equals 1,000 partner miles or points. However, some ratios differ — for example, Amex to Hilton is 1:2 (you receive 2 Hilton points per Amex point), while Amex to JetBlue is 250:200 (you receive slightly fewer JetBlue points than Amex points you transfer). Always verify the current ratio on your issuer's official transfer page before initiating any transfer.
- Are credit card points transfers instant?
- Transfers are generally one-way and permanent — once you transfer points to a partner program, you cannot move them back to your original account. Processing time varies by partner: some partners credit points instantly, while others take 2–5 business days. Always confirm your redemption target (flight, hotel, etc.) is available before initiating a transfer, since points cannot be reversed if your booking falls through.

- Transfer ratios are set by issuers and can change without notice. This tool shows verified base ratios as of the listed date. Active transfer bonuses are shown separately with their expiry date and source — once a bonus expires it is removed automatically, so always confirm the current ratio on your issuer's official transfer page before transferring.
